Article II. Members

We ask that all members must be at least level 50 and striving for 65th level. Members should have attained resist gear, and at least have their sebilis and howling stone keys. Members should be prepared to group together in consistent units and be available for at least one raid per week.

Furthermore members upon joining this organization declared they are 18 years of age or older, thus we expect discipline among the ranks of members.

Article III. Conduct

Within the ranks of the Spiorad Arsaidh we demand and expect discipline and maturity among the ranks of members. If a member has an issue with a fellow member then he/she should attempt to resolve it in tells. The use of ooc, shout, say, guild chat, channels, or emotes are forbidden to be used in resolving personal disputes. If a member needs assistance they should ask the Intra Guild relations officer to step in to assist. The Intra Guild relation officer will set up a channel and settle the dispute. Violating this policy can lead to dismissal from our ranks. All members are asked to use common sense when conducting themselves in game since your actions reflect upon our guild. We also ask that members try to keep vulgarity to a minimum. And any form of harassment will not be tolerated and will result in dismissal.

Article IV. Message Boards

The Message boards sole purpose is to keep our guild informed and to be a source of information for our members. Please do not use our boards for rants/flames, we ask that is you have a concern to bring it before and officer, which doesn’t mean flame them.

Article V. Amendment to Bylaws

A. These bylaws may be amended by a majority vote.

B. Proposed amendments shall be sent to all members in advance of the meeting where action is to be taken or shall be read at the presiding meeting.

Article VI. Loot

Loot from raids and events will be assigned by the use of a need before greed/point system. Our system is a combination of both in which both are used to determine the distribution of the items and gear dropped. The collective efforts of the council will determine by means of attendance, raid points, current equipment, and guild participation. Also to better assist the council we ask that members create and keep an accurate Magelo.com account. In the event of No drop items, the members that can use the items should place a bid to the Attendance or Raid officer. To place a bid a member sends a tell to the Attendance officer stating how many raid points he will give for the item, this bid can only be placed once per item. The bid cannot exceed the current amount of raid points that member currently has. The highest bid will get the item

And his/her bid will be subtracted from their current raid points. If there is no in on attendance that can use a droppable item then it will either be handled through an open roll or my be held by the Financial officer to be given to another member or sold to replace the guild funds.

Artile VII. Alts and Mains

Members are allowed to have alts within our ranks, though we ask that you have no more then five alts in guild. All alts are to be reported to the attendance officer or recruitment officer at time of joining with them. Each member is allowed one “Escape” alt. This character will be listed as “Escape” in the guild management tool. These chars are for members to be able to play with out being bothered, and thus should not be bothered by other members. Also the “Escape” alts will not be known by anyone unless that person chooses. Main changes are not uncommon, but we please ask that you have a definite Main before joining our ranks. All Main changes will need to be discussed and approved by a Council member. Note also that you maybe asked to use your old main if the situation demands for it. The old main also may not be stripped for incase they are needed in such event.

Article VIII. Multiple Character Players

This guild doesn’t shun the class of people that are Multiple Character Players, referred here on out as MCP. MCP are asked to use common sense when attending raids and events. The council believes that MCP have the common sense to know what raids/events are more then their skill abilities. MCP have a right though to loot for their other characters in attendance of the raid, though each character is handled as a main and furthermore follow the Distribution of loot policy.

Article IX. Epics

Members wishing to obtain their epics are not forbidden to pursue such a task. We ask that all members complete as much of their epic as they can solo. The raid portions of each members epic will be handled in a set fashion as determined by the Quest officer. The discussion of who gets theirs completed first is based on the same policy as the loot. The Quest officer will look at guild participation, attendance, and raid points.

Article X. Recruitment

Members are encouraged to take pride in their guild and seek to improve upon it by grouping with, getting to know, and extending our hand to possibly recruit classes in which the guild is in need of. Any member that has a possible future member should first have them read over our policies and then seek and speak with our recruitment officer. All possible members will need a sponsor, so it’s in the current members interest to make sure they have a good candidate. All new members will undergo a “trial” period of 30 days, and will not be able to receive any loot for the first 5 raids he or she attends. During this trial period only the new members main will be along into our ranks. Upon completion of the trial period will the new member’s alt be aloud to join.

Article XI. Raid Procedures

Always use the /AFK tag when away from keyboard during a raid. We need to know who is there and paying attention at all times. Please choose wisely when to afk. Try to time afk's for when it will hurt the raid the least.

You will not incessantly /tell the raid leaders, pullers, MA or SA during a raid. If they are busy trying to talk to you they cannot do their jobs on a raid.

Always send tells requesting buffs. Move near the person you are requesting buffs from. Say, channel, and, guild are all not acceptable means of asking for buffs. There are three reasons for this. It keeps the raid channels clear of spam, it allows the buffer to target you easier, it also helps to prevent duplicate casts of the same buffs.

Travel to the raid zone as soon as a raid is called. Don't bank, sell stuff in the bazaar, buy stuff etc. Just get to the raid ASAP. Afk after you get there if needed.

Please carry resist gear at all times. Some people take incredible amounts of AOE damage, its obvious they are not wearing resist gear. It's not hard to carry 2 rings a few bracers a few earrings a mask and maybe one or two other pieces. They are light and that’s a good use for a 10-slot container. Resist gear is cheap in the bazaar buy some. It’s your responsibility to be able to equip yourself to 100 or better in any of the four (CR/FR/PR/DR) resists while maintaining 100 in MR.

All melees will carry a gate potion or two to ever raid. You need this in case you ld and get left behind. A simple pottery recipe can yield a NO DROP Thurgadin gate potion and is the cheapest way to get a gate potion.

Article XII. Guild Removal

All members should be mindful when Guild Removing themselves, and sometimes perform this action in a fit of rage. This guild asks that if your hot about something you either seek an officer to talk with or play your “Escape” alt until you cool down. The results of a member leaving the guild and then choosing later to rejoin will result in several things. First the member will be reevaluated by the Council, in which conduct, participation and other issues will factor in. If the former member is accepted back they will start from the bottom, loosing all their seniority, raid points, and will have to go through the trial period again.
