Raiding System for Spiorad Arsaidh
Section I. Planning and Execution
The Raid Planner and/or Council will handle the planning of raids/events
for the Spiorad Arsaidh. The Raid Planner and/or Council will decide date, time,
meeting place, and execution for the raid/event. The information for the set
raid/event will be posted on the guild website under the according section. It’s
the responsibility of the members to check this area for advanced notice of
upcoming events. Members are also asked to be at least thirty minutes
early to a planned raid/event, and have the proper gear to achieve the
objective. On call raids/events will be announced over guild chat and from the
announcement members online should report to the designated area within thirty
minutes. Some epic mobs will be on call, though advance notice of dates will be
posted on the website, members online are expected to make their best attempt to
get to the area as soon as possible, this means no stopping to bank, sell, or
anything else.
Section II. Formation
Members will be assigned raid parties. A raid party is a group of six
members that the Council has set up by class, level, and time zone. These
parties will naturally get to learn each others playing styles and should work
well together. The purpose these parties serve is to help cut the set up time of
raids. When members arrive at the meeting spot for the raid they should
automatically break into their raid parties. Absent members will be filled in by
the Raid Planner. Any problems with groups should be brought up to the Intra
Guild Relations Officer. We expect all members to stay from start to finish,
unless approved by the council.
Section III. Behavior
We expect members to act maturely at planned raids/events, your actions
reflect upon the guild. The Council asks members to act respectful to others
both in and outside of the guild. Members that interrupt the raid or start a
feud with other guilds will be removed from the raid with possible disciplinary
actions, which will be handled after the event. If attending members require a
buff outside of their group we ask that you please send a tell to the person
your requesting buffs from and move to them. Doing this will reduce multiple
casts and keeps things running smoothly. Members are also asked not to send
tells to the Raid Planner, pullers, MA, and/or SA. These people have enough to
do and tells to them will only distract them. Tells to the Loot Caller should
only be done when they announce bids, which will be covered later.
Section IV. Raid Points
Members will accumulate raid points for every raid/event function that
the Spiorad Arsaidh hold. Each planned raid will be assigned a Raid Value. The
Raid Value will be posted along with the raid in the according area. Example a
raid planned to kill Trakanon might have a raid value of one, where as a raid
planned to kill King Tormax might be a raid value of five. Members in attendance
to the raid can use the raid points given by the event in their bids.
Section V. Loot
Solely the Loot Caller will handle all loot produced by a raid/event.
This person will loot all corpses and distribute from there. The Looter Caller
will retain and sell all PP loot. The money generated is then given to the
Financial Officer, who will then distribute to help cover the costs of the
event. All surplus money will be placed in the guild bank.
The Spiorad Arsaidh use a unique point/need before greed system, which will be described as NBG from here on out. Loot in the way of gear and or weapons will be decided upon by the council and then placed in one of two categories: NBG or Bid. Items placed under the NBG category will be rewarded to the member whom the council thinks would benefit the most from it. This decision will be reached by officers reviewing you character profile on Magelo. No drop gear under this category will be handled in similar methods but faster. Items that fall under the Bid category are items that are mostly rare and no drop. Bid items will be announced along with the item by the Loot Caller. When this announcement is made members interested in the item should send a one time tell to the loot caller placing their bid. Highest bid wins. Members use their accumulated raid points to bid with, thus you cannot place a bid exceeding your raid points. The winning member will then be announced and their bid subtracted from their raid points.
Section VI. Use of Channels
During a raid/event members are asked restrict the use of guild, and raid
channels to topics related to the event. Members will refrain from use of the
raid related chat channel; this channel is to be used for relaying instructions
and vital messages. The Raid Planner, MA, SA, and pullers will use this channel
to announce instructions, mobs that are incoming and mobs to attack. The only
exception to this rule is for vital messages, these include mesmerized mobs, and
loot to be announced.
Section VII. Amendments
This document can be modified to conform to the needs of the guild as a
whole. Only a majority vote in the council can modify these sections per special
circumstances and/or permanent amendments. If a section or sections is modified
per special circumstance does not in anyway make this document, or sections
within, void. Changes to this document will be announced to the guild upon
completion and the modified section will be posted for members to read.
